The Holly Beach House project transformed a small Chesapeake Bay shore home into a modern, highly functional retreat designed for comfort, efficiency, and long-term livability. Originally a modest 2-bedroom, 1-bath structure with a loft, the home was taken down to the studs and completely reimagined without expanding its original footprint. Through thoughtful space planning, the layout was reconfigured into a 3-bedroom, 2-bath home that maximizes every square foot while maintaining an open, light-filled connection to the surrounding water views. The design integrates smart home technology, energy-efficient systems, and universal design principles to ensure the home remains adaptable as needs change over time. Accessible bathrooms, intuitive layouts, and carefully selected materials create a space that feels both beautiful and supportive of everyday life, demonstrating how intentional design can dramatically improve how a home functions while preserving the character and history of the original property.
